Surgeon - (Surgery - General) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 04/01/2014Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
Hospital in Alaska is recruiting for a Locum Tenens General Surgeon to provide clinic and call while they hire a permanent full time physician. Locums doctor is expected to work a 2 week on/off schedule. Please contact Staff Care for more information.
A general surgeon(locum tenens) is trained and qualified to perform a wide range of surgical procedures and thus must be familiar with a wealth of medical conditions and treatments. These surgeons may be tasked with operations ranging from burn trauma to vascular surgery, though they do not usually perform highly complex surgical operations, such as treatments of the heart or brain, which are performed by specialized surgeons.
Required Qualifications
Board Certified, Alaska licensure
Preferred Qualifications
Advance Trauma Life Support or Advance Cardiac Life Support is preferred.
