Surgeon - (Surgery - General) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
Board Certified General Surgeon needed in Kentucky starting as soon as possible to work 9-hour shifts. The schedule is for two weeks per month and includes weekends. Privileging takes approximately one month, so the assignment will begin as early as mid-October. Bread and butter General Surgery. Level 2 ER.
A general surgeon(locum tenens) is trained and qualified to perform a wide range of surgical procedures and thus must be familiar with a wealth of medical conditions and treatments. These surgeons may be tasked with operations ranging from burn trauma to vascular surgery, though they do not usually perform highly complex surgical operations, such as treatments of the heart or brain, which are performed by specialized surgeons.
