A 100+ member, hospital-owned multi-specialty group seeks a third Trauma Surgeon. Must be BC/BE General Surgery with added qualifications in Surgical Critical Care. Call is generally taken from home; there will be occasional in-house call six nights per month / one weekend per month. Ideal candidate will have an interest in teaching as there is a Faculty appointment to the General Surgery Residency Program. Opportunity for clinical research exists and is supported by a seven member Surgical Research Department. Average daily census is 15; OR days are scheduled as needed. Approximately 1,300 trauma patients per year. Work out of the region's premier medical center. Located in a beautiful and family friendly community with one of the nation's lowest crime rates, diversified economic base, outstanding schools and big city amenities without big city hassles. Recreational amenities include white water rafting, magnificent hiking and biking trails, exceptional hunting and fishing, skiing and great golf. Nearby metropolitan city provides professional football, baseball and hockey.
