Open need for a General Surgeon in West Virginia
Start Date: Asap through 12/31/13 with multiple 6 Mo. Options.

Hours of Operation:
• The surgeon will work 9 a hour Regular Tour of Duty 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM Monday –Friday
• The surgeon may be required to work any combination of the following:
• Weekday On-Call coverage 4:31 pm -7:29 AM Monday – Saturday on an as needed basis
• Weekend call coverage: On an as needed basis from 7:30 AM Saturday to 7:29 AM Sunday or 7:30 AM Sunday to 7 :29 am Monday
Statement of Work
The surgeon will provide clinical services one day per week for about 10 patients per day, on average, and the patients may be any combination of scheduled or unscheduled, outpatient or inpatient. The Surgeon will provide services up to 4 days per week for about 15 cases per week on average depending on the size and complexity.
The Surgeon will provide services for patients from a wide range of ages, backgrounds, and diagnoses; therefore competence in the examination and treatment of patients will be demonstrated in general surgical operations such as
• Biopsies of skin
• Soft tissue
• Muscle
• Nerve or lymph nodes
• Gastronomy
• Jejunostomy
• Open or laparoscopic
• Liver biopsy
• Cholecystectomy
