Vascular Surgeon - (Surgery - Vascular) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 09/08/2014Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day

Board Certified Vascular Surgeon to provide coverage as soon as credentialed for 6 months with the option to extend an additional 6 months. *Any state license. Work hours are 6:30am to 3:00pm. Some Call. Perform Inpatient and Outpatient vascular examinations, determine diagnosis, initiate treatment. Serve as consultant to other medical staff and trainees, students, residents and midlevel providers. Perform Clinical duties. Provide examinations, general history, evaluation, prescribing medications, diagnosis and treatment. Must have Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.

Specializing in the treatment of diseases and conditions that affect the arteries and veins, such as coronary heart disease and pulmonary embolism, a vascular surgeon(locum tenens) performs medical procedures that repair and remove blockages from arteries and veins. Vascular surgeons must be licensed by the USMLE and have completed both general surgery residencies and fellowships in advanced vascular surgery training.
