Employed Vascular Surgery Opportunity With Academic Dimension in NW Texas


Northwest Texas Healthcare System is assisting in the recruitment of a Vascular Surgeon for an employed position with a large university-based multi-specialty group in Amarillo, TX.


This 25 year-old group is comprised of faculty and staff from the Texas Tech University Health Science Center School of Medicine and provides primary care, surgical and women’s health services, enjoying a strong reputation throughout the region. The group has a comprehensive surgical staff with two General Surgeons handling trauma, acute care and critical care cases; one Trauma/Critical Care Surgeon; one Breast Surgeon; one Thoracic Surgeon; one Surgical Oncologist and one ENT Surgeon. The group maintains a single office location with coverage at Texas Tech University Health Science Center and Northwest Texas Healthcare System, located less than a mile apart. In addition to clinical practice, the incoming physician will assist in developing a surgical residency program as well as interactions with medical students. The position also includes a teaching appointment at Texas Tech University.


Ideal candidates will be BC/BE. Compensation is competitive and includes a base salary, benefits and other incentives.

Amarillo Community College is located in the city and West Texas A & M is located fifteen minutes from Amarillo. Located in north Texas the city is about four hours from Albuquerque, six hours from Denver and an hour's flight to Dallas.
