Looking for a vascular surgeon who w nts to practice in southern/central NY under 3 hours to NYC. They are seeking a third vascular surgeon for the high-volume surgical practice in its large (145+physician) multispecialty group in the midsize University town. The Vascular practice is growing 10-15% per year, and the group seeks a well-trained vascular surgeon to share the volume. What makes this practice truly unique is that there is no competition from Interventional Radiology or Cardiology—the surgeons truly own their specialty. The group performs all arterial interventions, but is not currently providing surgical interventions to DVT, due to time and manpower. A candidate with this interest would be an asset. The surgeons perform approx. 1600 cases per year, 1200 vascular, of those, 70% are endovascular procedures. Reading in the Vascular Lab is an additional opportunity. Call 1:3 Vascular (only called for specialty—go in 50% of the time), 1:5 General (protected).
