Vascular Surgeon - (Surgery - Vascular) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 05/09/2016Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day

The VA is looking for 2 Vascular Surgeons for services. The provider must have been board certified in general surgery and completed a fellowship in vascular surgery. The provider must have a current state license, BLS, ACLS, and DEA. The provider will be working at a hospital doing both clinic and surgery on a weekly rotating basis. There will be on- call required and a multitude of surgical procedures that the surgeon must be competent in.

Specializing in the treatment of diseases and conditions that affect the arteries and veins, such as coronary heart disease and pulmonary embolism, a vascular surgeon(locum tenens) performs medical procedures that repair and remove blockages from arteries and veins. Vascular surgeons must be licensed by the USMLE and have completed both general surgery residencies and fellowships in advanced vascular surgery training.
