Play in the Pines of East Texas! Cardiothoracic Surgeon Opportunity in Longview!
As the incoming surgeon, you'll join a large 100+ provider multi-specialty group that includes the majority of PCPs and the largest Cardiology group in the community. The arrival of a strong CVS two years ago who brought state-of-the art treatments for all types of heart, lung and vascular diseases has more than doubled the open heart volume (OR cases up 188%) and there is now the need for another BC/BE surgeon with a strong work ethic and strong interpersonal skills. ED call will be 1:5 with the clinic call anticipated at 1:2. You'll enjoy a brand new office space on the hospital's new cardiac floor.
The hospital offers a fully accredited Open Heart Surgery program with a da Vinci robot as well as new a cath and special procedures room. Cath volume recently grew from 100/mo to 150/mo, with expectations of 200/month within the year. The Heart and Vascular Unit has 23 beds and opened in 2011. Plus the hospital is nearing the completion of a huge expansion project that will nearly double the hospital's size (to 230 beds) and add a second dedicated Open Heart room in their Surgical Suite (which will grow to 16 rooms). The successful candidate will be an energetic, BC/BE surgeon with interest/ability in cardiac, thoracic and vascular procedures.
