Looking for a general surgeon that wants to practice just outside of Lexington. A supportive PCP referral base is in place to welcome a new GS. The position calls for a skilled surgeon who provides general surgery services including but not limited to the following procedures: laparoscopic and open procedures, appendectomy, gallbladder, hernia, colon, gastrointestinal, breast biopsy, etc. While the position is a solo practice, there is coverage of 2 other employed general surgeons at a neighboring/sister hospital. There is the same anesthesia group coverage of MDs, DOs and CRNAs at both facilities. Block time is available. Required hospital call is ten days per month (on call for both hospitals on the same day). Both hospitals offer a full time hospitalist program.
