No Visa's. Seeking a BC/BE General Surgeon. The General Surgeon will either join an existing private practice of two (2) or a hospital employed group of 2. The current call is 1:3. Medical staff is a mixture of D.O. & M.D. The hospital's primary service area consist of over 120,000 lives (and a population of 240,000 in a 30 mile radius). THREE GREAT PRACTICE OPTIONS TO CHOOSE FROM. Hospital has largest growth in admissions in 2004, 2005 and 2006 in southern IL. Hospitalist program in place. The hospital employs a large primary care base. Coverage by 2 MD Anesthesiologists and 7 CRNAs. Financial: - Competitive financial package - CME - Relocation - Commencement bonus - Marketing - Loan repayment Facility: - The facility has 68 medical and surgical beds, a 12-bed ICU, and 17 obstetrics beds, which includes five LDR's. - The facility has five surgical suites, plus two endoscopy rooms and one special procedure room. - Expanded tertiary services include open-heart surgery, angioplasty, stent implantation, atherectomy, neurosurgery, and level II nursery in OB. - Open-heart surgery and related procedures began in the Spring 2003. - The facility offers a full range of emergency services including trauma, acute medical care, pediatrics, orthopedics and cardiac care, with 24-hour coverage handling more than 24,000 cases per year. - Outpatient rehabilitation services include physical, occupational, and speech therapy, cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, and wound care services.
