General Surgeon needed to join an employed group practice or for hospital employed practice. There are currently 3 General Surgeons in the market that stay very busy and with one of them leaving. With the loss of that physician, plus the business in the secondary market with has no surgeon, the new physician should expect to build a very busy practice quickly. Call coverage will be 1:3. Generous compensation package including sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, and loan reimbursement if needed. Enjoy a great quality of life in a growing community!
Market Need: MGMA projects that a successful General Surgeon will need 622 surgery cases per year. There are currently 889 surgery cases out migrating from the Primary Service Area and another 2900 cases available from the Secondary Service Area. Currently there are 2 General Surgeons in the market. Both are in private practice. There is an opportunity for employment with Physician Practices which currently employs 22 providers in multi- specialty clinics.
In one of our secondary market areas, there is a small 25 bed facility. The facility does not have General Surgery coverage. There is a multi-specialty clinic located on campus that is immediately available for use as a satellite clinic. This is additional volume opportunity for the new recruit.
