Memorial Hospital of Texas County, a 47-bed acute care medical center located in Guymon, OK, strives to provide the highest quality healthcare in Texas County and the surrounding communities in the Oklahoma panhandle. The hospital is now recruiting a General Surgeon for a hospital-employed position.
Become part of a hospital-based multi-specialty group; the group has been in the community for ten years and is expanding its staff. This is an excellent opportunity to build a new practice in a charming family oriented community. The ideal candidate will be BC/BE, and will be comfortable with general bread and butter surgical cases. The hospital has two surgical suites for general, gynecological, orthopedic and elective surgery. Call will be shared with other group members, with coverage at one hospital. Compensation will be competitive and includes a base salary with wRVU production bonus, benefits and sign on bonus. Other incentives may also be available.
Guymon is located in the Oklahoma Panhandle 1.5 hours from Amarillo, TX. With a population of 12,000 residents, Guymon serves as an agricultural and manufacturing center. The area economy is also supported by natural gas, oil and wind energy production. Guymon offers its residents a variety of recreational opportunities including hiking, fishing and access to a 300 acre wildlife reserve. The community is served by a strong public school system, with a number of universities within a two hour drive. Guymon’s location in the Panhandle makes it convenient to a number of cities, including Colorado Springs, Amarillo, and Oklahoma City.
