General Surgeon needed for a hospital based practice. Work full-time five days per week, or part-time four days per week. Cover an office in Berlin and perhaps an outreach site in Coos County. Endoscopy and Laparoscopic skills are required. Operative procedures include upper and lower endoscopy, open cases, and basic and advanced laparoscopic cases. Hospital has an integrated ambulatory and hospital EMR with CPOE and voice recognition/templates available for document creation, as well as an established Hospitalist Program. Call schedule is 1:3. Employed position will provide full benefits and a salary based on experience, around $250 � 275,000 for a full-time Surgeon. Located about an hour north of Portland, Maine, and three hours from Montreal and Burlington, Vermont, the area is ideal for an outdoor enthusiast. Miles of snowmobile trails through forests and over a mountain or two and where ATVers can make tracks, while hikers can take to trails that bring them to the top of one of New England tallest Mountains and along the fabled Appalachian Trail.
