Looking for a general surgeon who wants to practice in western Mass, minutes to Springfield and Hartford and under 2 hours to Boston. The general surgeons are employees of the Medical Center within a multi-specialty surgical group; call coverage is shared with other general surgeons on the medical staff. Call will be 1 in 4. The office is located on the campus of the Medical Center. As an employee of the Medical Center, this would be a full time position, with a comprehensive benefit package which will include insurances (health, dental, long term disability, life, and malpractice), paid time off (vacation, holiday, illness and CME), optional participation in an income deferral program under the 403(b) plan, CME allowance, etc. Compensation is negotiable based upon years of experience, Board certification, etc. The region is in the foothills of the Berkshires in Western Massachusetts. Outstanding private schools at all levels (elementary, secondary, college) and excellent public colleges are available in close proximity to the Medical Center. The cost of living in Western Massachusetts is significantly less than eastern Massachusetts. The Medical Center is located at the junction of major north/south and east/west highway systems for ease in traveling to the cities and shore. Job ID# 164
