Seeking an experienced GENERAL SURGEON for my southwest Iowa hospital. Would you like to interview with them? They prefer a General Surgeon (#JO-1306-1710) who is BC, who can work fairly independently, since there are less specialists here in a critical access hospital. A surgeon who can do a broad variety of general surgery procedures including C Sections and Urogyn, and some GI and UROL procedures. They do have an Orthopedic surgeon who covers those types of cases. Heavy trauma is triaged and sent to larger hospitals nearby. The new hire is for progression replacement of one of their two current general surgeons who has a few years of practice life remaining. Call will be 1/3 here. Successful candidate will receive competitive base salary and incentive compensation, plus employment-related benefits that would add to the total compensation by a minimum of 30%. Our benefits include health, dental, malpractice coverage, six weeks of vacation for the first year, a generous CME allowance, and relocation expenses.
