80 miles East of San Bernardino California and 33 miles North of Palm Springs, is the Southern California high desert community of Joshua Tree. With a population of 7,000 and another 22,000 residents 10 miles away in nearby Yucca Valley, these towns are inhabited by a mix of artists, musicians, working families, business people, telecommuters and retirees.
A full complement of bigger city amenities, with excellent shopping, dining, theater and more, can be found in the Greater Palm Springs area. For those seeking outdoor recreation; minutes away is Johnson Valley’s world-famous off-road vehicle area, as well as hiking and equestrian trails in and around Joshua Tree National Park. Naturalists will enjoy bird watching, wild flowers and wildlife like none other in Southern California along with brilliant night skies and clean air. Snow sports in Big Bear, water sports at the Colorado River and the vast Southern California Metropolitan area are all within easy driving distance.
We seek a full time bread and butter Surgeon to provide services at Hi Desert Medical Center, a fully accredited 59 bed hospital. Employer is a state wide multi-specialty medical group that offers a competitive salary and benefits package including malpractice with tail insurance. Coverage will be provided by 1 or 2 independent surgeons in Palm Springs.
