Chair, Department of Surgery
The successful candidate will assume the clinical, quality and administrative leadership of the Department.
Qualifications:
• MD or DO Degree
• Licensed in State of Connecticut
• Board Certified
• Excellent clinician with management/organizational experience
• Strong clinical skills, collaborative management style and excellent communication abilities
Specifics:
• Hours will vary; on average, administrative responsibilities will require 2 days per week.
• Expected to work with administrative leaders in the interest of optimal clinical and operational management of the Department while maintaining respect and trust of the Medical Staff.
• Provide input into the operational, strategic and financial management of the Department.
• Ensure adherence to organizational and regulatory standards, policies and procedures.
• Participate in the planning process for the development and implementation of programs and services.
• Participate in call (frequency depends on specialty)
• Robust on-boarding and business development support
Located along the Southeastern Connecticut shoreline, halfway between Boston and New York and 1-2 hours from vacation spots in Newport, RI and Cape Cod, MA. Just 1 hour from Hartford.
