Investigate a unique Adult Rheumatology opportunity represented by Merritt Hawkins, the nation's leading academic physician search firm. We are seeking a fellowship-trained Rheumatologist for an exciting clinical faculty position with a NEW medical school. The title of Division Chief of Rheumatology is available for qualified individuals with a strong history of academic involvement.

Join this team as the first medical school employed Rheumatologist in a growing Department of Medicine. This position is ideal for the candidate who wants to establish a Rheumatology division, build a program from the ground up, and develop curriculum at a new medical school. This individual will lead the division through growth and development of the highest quality clinical programs and will cultivate a comprehensive, multidisciplinary care approach in the region’s newest academic medical center. Experience teaching at the graduate medical education level is strongly preferred.

  • Current community Rheumatologists are on a 5-6 month wait, so a strong need exists for your clinical services. Further position details include:
  • 8 established residency programs, including Internal Medicine
  • No inpatient consults required – consult call only for your own patients
  • Modern 60,000 sq. ft. clinical building with NCQA recognition as a Patient-Centered Medical Home
  • Excellent compensation and academic rank commensurate with experience
