Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 05/26/2015Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
Client in central Colorado needs coverage May 26 - 29. The standard day is 8am to 5pm with an hour lunch, no call, and no weekends. The average volume is 75 to 90 studies per day consisting of 50% plain films, 20% cat scans, 8% MR, and 12% ultrasound. 10% of the studies are mammograms, but this radiologist can work around mammography if needed. There will also be a few light procedures such as fluoro, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and shoulder injections. The PACS is CPSI and they have a transcriptionist.
Radiology(locum tenens) is a medical specialty that diagnoses and treats internal diseases (such as tumors) with the use of imaging technologies including X-ray radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. The role of the radiologist includes developing images and interpreting the data. Interventional radiologists utilize these imaging techniques to perform medical procedures, typically minimally invasive.
