Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day

Radiology group in Connecticut is looking for a diagnostic radiologist with light to moderate Interventional skills for 20 weeks January through June of 2014. The radiologist will do 0 to 4 procedures a day including biopsies, Cat scan or Ultrasound guided biopsies, drainages, lumbar punctures, arthograms, ports, catheter placement, Venus catheters, IVC filters, and a GI bleed maybe 1-2 times a year. 40 - 50% IR. When the radiologist is not doing procedures they will read diagnostic studies, 60 a day, depending on the procedures - Cat scan, ultrasound, plain film and MR. There will not be any Mammography. Team environment. Pending which site they work at, there will be 2 - 4 other Rads.

Radiology(locum tenens) is a medical specialty that diagnoses and treats internal diseases (such as tumors) with the use of imaging technologies including X-ray radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. The role of the radiologist includes developing images and interpreting the data. Interventional radiologists utilize these imaging techniques to perform medical procedures, typically minimally invasive.
