Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day

Radiology group in southern New Hampshire is looking for a long term locum diagnostic radiologist starting November 2014 through June of 2015. The hours will be 7:30am to 5pm Monday to Friday, every week ongoing. The group is looking for a radiologist that can read all modalities and is MQSA certified. MSK fellowhip is a plus. Average studes are 80-100 per day. If the radiologists works the evening shift from 11am to 10pm the volume will be 120 studies. The hospital sees 3-4 procedures per day typically stereotactic breast biopsies, liver and lung biopsies, paracentesis, and thoracentesis, and arthograms. Board certification is required and the group uses McKesson PACS and a transcriptionist. It would be preferable for the radiologist to be licensed in NH and MA.

Radiology(locum tenens) is a medical specialty that diagnoses and treats internal diseases (such as tumors) with the use of imaging technologies including X-ray radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. The role of the radiologist includes developing images and interpreting the data. Interventional radiologists utilize these imaging techniques to perform medical procedures, typically minimally invasive.
