Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 06/15/2015Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day

An outpatient center in the Portland, Oregon area is looking for 4 weeks of locums help from a women's imaging radiologist. The position is 7am to 5pm Monday to Friday, no call, and no weekends. The site is a team environment, the PACS is iSite and the voice recognition is SpeechQ. The radiologist must be board certified, but does not need a fellowship. The position is a busy practice reading mammography only and performing women's procedures such as biopsies and needle localizations. The radiologist must be trained to read tomography. Split between 2 Rads, 80-90 screens, 20 diagnostic, 10 breast US, 2 stereotactic biopsies, 5 - 8 US procedures (includes breast & thyroid), 1-2 breast MRI, 1-2 pelvic MRI, 40-60 pelvis, thyroid OB US (split 4 ways); 10 DEXAs, occasional hysteros or sonohysteros.

Radiology(locum tenens) is a medical specialty that diagnoses and treats internal diseases (such as tumors) with the use of imaging technologies including X-ray radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. The role of the radiologist includes developing images and interpreting the data. Interventional radiologists utilize these imaging techniques to perform medical procedures, typically minimally invasive.
