Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 01/03/2015Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day

Radiology group in southern Georgia is looking for ongoing sub-specialty diagnostic coverage. Each subspecialty area will need 12 weeks of coverage in 2015 in the following areas: women's imaging, neuro, body imaging, MSK, cardiac, thoracic imaging, and emergency. Practice descrption will vary depending on the specialty, pediatric help is needed via t-rad. All radiologists must be board certified and fellowship trained. The PACS system is GE Centricity and the voice recognition is Powerscribe. Must also have a DEA license.

Radiology(locum tenens) is a medical specialty that diagnoses and treats internal diseases (such as tumors) with the use of imaging technologies including X-ray radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. The role of the radiologist includes developing images and interpreting the data. Interventional radiologists utilize these imaging techniques to perform medical procedures, typically minimally invasive.
