Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 11/17/2014Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
A radiologist is needed to provide services at this hospital on a locum tenens basis while regular staff recruitment efforts are in progress. The physician will read MRI, CT, Ultrasounds, and plain films. Working hours are from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The assignment commences immediately upon the completion of credentialing and will last for three months, or until a permanent hire can be identified.
Radiology(locum tenens) is a medical specialty that diagnoses and treats internal diseases (such as tumors) with the use of imaging technologies including X-ray radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. The role of the radiologist includes developing images and interpreting the data. Interventional radiologists utilize these imaging techniques to perform medical procedures, typically minimally invasive.
Required Qualifications
The physician shall be board certified and have an active BLS prior to the start date.
