Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day

Imaging center in Colorado Springs is looking for a diagnostic radiologist with light interventional skills for ongoing coverage. The need will be for a few days a month ongoing, typically Mondays and Fridays. The average volume is 60 studies per day comprised of 19 mammograms (screening and diagnostic), 19 ultrasounds, 14 plain film, and 8 cat scans. Daily procedures will be 2 ultrasound guided biopsies, 4 breast ultrasounds, and 2 fluoro procedures. May also perform arthograms, joint injections, and myelograms.

Radiology(locum tenens) is a medical specialty that diagnoses and treats internal diseases (such as tumors) with the use of imaging technologies including X-ray radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. The role of the radiologist includes developing images and interpreting the data. Interventional radiologists utilize these imaging techniques to perform medical procedures, typically minimally invasive.
