Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day

Radiology group is Southern Delaware is looking for a diagnostic radiologist either for ongoing coverage weekly starting November through June of 2015 or ongoing vacation coverage 1 to 2 weeks per month. The position will be Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, no call, and no weekends. The location will be at three outpatient imaging centers that are within 20 minutes of each other on the coast supervising contrast injections and reading 80 studies of mixed modalities primarily plain film, cat scan, MRI, and ultrasound. The radiologist will only work at one outpatient center per day. Board certified preferred and the radiologist must read all modalities except nuclear medicine and/or mammography which the group can work around. The PACS is iSite and the dictation system is Snygo.

Radiology(locum tenens) is a medical specialty that diagnoses and treats internal diseases (such as tumors) with the use of imaging technologies including X-ray radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. The role of the radiologist includes developing images and interpreting the data. Interventional radiologists utilize these imaging techniques to perform medical procedures, typically minimally invasive.
