Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 09/19/2014Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
An outpatient imaging center in Tulsa, OK needs a board certified radiologist licensed in OK and TX, FL license would also be welcome, that is able to read PET scans to cover vacation needs. The modalities and volumes are 18-20 reads per day, including 2-3 CT, an average of 6 MRI and 7-10 PET scans per day and also contrast supervision beginning in November. The schedule is Monday-Friday 8:00 am -5:00 pm with no call or weekends. The PACS system is Neurostar, with a transcriptionist.. There are no procedures involved with this need.
Radiology(locum tenens) is a medical specialty that diagnoses and treats internal diseases (such as tumors) with the use of imaging technologies including X-ray radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. The role of the radiologist includes developing images and interpreting the data. Interventional radiologists utilize these imaging techniques to perform medical procedures, typically minimally invasive.
