Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
A teaching facility in New Hampshire is looking for a locums radiologist starting in March through June of 2014. The radiologist will direct the nuclear cardiology stress lab 3 days a week 8am to 5pm. The days are flexible. This individual should have experience in stress testing, and be certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine or the American Board of Nuclear Medicine.The division of Nuclear Medicine offers stress testing, both exercise and pharmacologic, in conjunction with myocardial perfusion scanning performed with SPECT-CT. The facility averages approximately 100 studies per month and the position includes no nights or weekends.
Radiology(locum tenens) is a medical specialty that diagnoses and treats internal diseases (such as tumors) with the use of imaging technologies including X-ray radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. The role of the radiologist includes developing images and interpreting the data. Interventional radiologists utilize these imaging techniques to perform medical procedures, typically minimally invasive.
