Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens
An outpatient imaging center in metro Los Angeles area is in need of general diagnostic coverage starting Monday 12/5 at a solo site every week for a couple months' time. After this assignment they would like the radiologist to be available to come back and work sporadic weeks. The hours can vary between 8 or 6 hour days Monday to Friday. No call, no weekends, and no mammography. The radiologist does need to have a CA license and the practice will consider board eligible candidates. The average day will be reading 110 studies consisting of 60 plain film, 10 cat scans, 10 MR, and 20 ultrasounds. There could be an occasional arthogram, but that would be the only procedure. The PACS and voice recognition are Carestream.
Radiology(locum tenens) is a medical specialty that diagnoses and treats internal diseases (such as tumors) with the use of imaging technologies including X-ray radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. The role of the radiologist includes developing images and interpreting the data. Interventional radiologists utilize these imaging techniques to perform medical procedures, typically minimally invasive.
