The Veterans Affairs Illiana Health Care System is seeking a full time Radiologist. The Illiana Health Care System is a medical care facility servicing East Central Illinois and West Lafayette, Indiana. The Radiologist for this position will be specialized in diagnosing and treating diseases and injuries using medical imaging techniques. The incumbent Radiologist will be responsible for the following duties: Interpretation of General Radiology, CT, CTA, MRI, and Bone Densitometry Nuclear Medicine (routine) and Ultrasound (routine) on an as needed basis Performing general fluoroscopic procedures Maintaining a high level of efficiency and accuracy in reviewing and interpreting various imaging studies Providing consultative services for referring physicians Providing comparative reports as requested Participating in clinical conferences and committees Participating in quality control and quality management including department and hospital level peer review activities Participating actively in the teaching and training of house staff, medical students, residents, and academic affiliates assigned to the Imaging Service Participating in administrative duties as assigned by the Imaging Service Chief. PREFERRED: Completed Radiology Residency training at accredited institution. Fellowship training completed. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiology by American Board of Radiology or American Osteopathic Board of Radiology. Relocation/Recruitment incentive is authorized Relocation expenses are authorized for this position. Tour of Duty: Days 8:00am - 4:30pm (Monday - Friday or as defined by the demands of the position, which may include some on call duties.
