Interventional Radiologist - Physician - (Radiology - VIR - Inter Rad) Locum Tenens
Hospital in east Texas is in need of an interventional radiologist for the weeks of 3/27, 4/10, 4/24, 5/3, and 5/10/17 Some days can be almost all interventional work, others are almost none. The volume is 3-4 ports and 3-4 dialysis catheters per week. In addition, 6-8 thyroid FNAs (if you are busy other radiologist will pick them up and about one CT biopsy per day during week. Nephrostomy and cholecystostomy about 1-2 per month and Fistula or dialysis graft 1-2 per week. 1-2 abscess drains per week. 3-4 paracenteses per week. 3-4 thoracenteses per month. Arteriography/embolization about one per month. TIPS 1/year. When the radiologist is not in procedures they are expected to help with the work list reading plain film, ultrasound, cat scan, and MR. No mammography. The schedule is Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, maybe some evening call.
