Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens
A teaching hospital in upstate New York is looking for ongoing coverage starting February 2017 every week.. They are in need of a board certified, pediatric fellowship trained radiologist with an active NY state license to work every week Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm. There will be some call and weekends in rotation with the group. Evening calls consists of reading emergent pediatric cases that come through the ER from 5pm to 8am. Weekend call consists of being on call to read emergent pediatric cases as needed or to come in to the hospital do an emergent procedure. This position will only be reading pediatric studies and doing procedures on pediatric patients. The studies are around 20 per day all ultrasound and plain film. There will also be a couple procedure each day consisting of barium enemas, modified barium swallow, VCUG, and upper GI. The PACS system is Fuji Synapse and the voice recognition system is Powerscribe 360.

The role of the radiologist includes developing images and interpreting the data. Interventional radiologists utilize these imaging techniques to perform medical procedures, typically minimally invasive.
