Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens
A radiology group based in a community hospital in southern South Carolina is in need of a SC licensed and board certified diagnostic radiologist able to perform all general modalities including mammography. The ability to perform light interventional skills is also desirable including biopsies, paracentesis, and thoracentesis. The hours will be 8am to 5pm and the average daily volume is 85-100 studies per day. The group is looking for a radiologist who can hopefully cover the practice ongoing weeks and optional weekends in 2017. The group is in need of a couple full week of coverage in June and July flexible on the dates, 7/31 - 8/4 , 11/24- 11/26 Thanksgiving weekend, 12/25 - 12/29, and 1/1/18 - 1/5/18 weeks.
Radiology(locum tenens) is a medical specialty that diagnoses and treats internal diseases (such as tumors) with the use of imaging technologies including X-ray radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. The role of the radiologist includes developing images and interpreting the data. Interventional radiologists utilize these imaging techniques to perform medical procedures, typically minimally invasive.
