Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens
Outpatient imaging center a couple hours north of Sacramento is in need of diagnostic coverage the week of 3/28 -4/1 and 4/4-4/8. The hours are 8am to 5pm. The radiologist will sit at one of two chairs either reading 120 plain film and ultrasounds per day or 35 cat scans and MR per day. No mammography, no procedures, no call, no weekends, no credentialing. The voice recognition is Powerscribe.
Radiology(locum tenens) is a medical specialty that diagnoses and treats internal diseases (such as tumors) with the use of imaging technologies including X-ray radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. The role of the radiologist includes developing images and interpreting the data. Interventional radiologists utilize these imaging techniques to perform medical procedures, typically minimally invasive.

During the 1950’s there was a great expansion of the lumber industry and two major dams in the Redding area now known as, the “Whiskeytown Dam” and the “Keswick Dam”, were built. During the housing and retail boom of the late 1980’s the population of Redding grew to 66,462.
