Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens
Client in Northern California is looking for locums coverage for the week of 7/11 - 7/15. The job is Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm with no evening call. The average daily volume is 95 studies per day consisting of 60 plain films, 15 cat scans, and 20 ultrasounds. There will be no MR, mammography, or nuclear medicine studies. The radiologist will be expected to perform some light interventional work such as paracentesis, thoracentesis, and maybe a flouro or upper GI. All of the interventional work will be considered "light". The PACS system is McKesson and the voice recognition is Nuance. The site is looking for a provider who can potentially cover 4 weeks of vacation per year.

Radiology(locum tenens) is a medical specialty that diagnoses and treats internal diseases (such as tumors) with the use of imaging technologies including X-ray radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. The role of the radiologist includes developing images and interpreting the data. Interventional radiologists utilize these imaging techniques to perform medical procedures, typically minimally invasive.
