Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens
A clinic in northern Louisiana is looking for a radiologist to cover the weeks of May 16th and June 20th. The hours are 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday. The site averages 120- 130 studies per day consisting of 60 plain film, 20 ultrasound, 12-15 mammograms, 4-5 DEXA, 5-6 MR, and 12-15 cat scans. There may be an occasional Flouro case. The PACS is Phillips and the site uses a transcriptionist.

Radiology(locum tenens) is a medical specialty that diagnoses and treats internal diseases (such as tumors) with the use of imaging technologies including X-ray radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. The role of the radiologist includes developing images and interpreting the data. Interventional radiologists utilize these imaging techniques to perform medical procedures, typically minimally invasive.
