Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens
A small hospital in coastal Virginia is looking for a general diagnostic radiologist who can help cover future vacation weeks as needed. Solo practice, candidates must be able to read all diagnostic modalities including mammography. A typical day entails 15 cat scans, 15 ultrasounds, 15 mammograms, 5 MR, 4 nuclear medicine, 1 barium study, and 45 plain film. On Monday morning worksite have about 30 additional plain films to read off in the morning from the weekend. This practice performs an occasional paracentesis, thoracentesis, US guided biopsy, stereotactic biopsy and needle localization. Must have some light interventional skills, but a procedure or two can be worked around. Candidates must be board certified and MQSA certified. The hours are 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday. No call and no weekends. The PACS is Viztek and the voice recognition is Dragon. Daily offered rate is $1300 and client will cover mileage and lodging expenses.
