Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens
Outpatient imaging center in Alaska needs diagnostic radiologist coverage 8/15 - 8/19, the schedule will be Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm. The radiologist must be proficient in all general modalities and perform some light interventional procedures as well. The diagnostic modalities including plain film, cat scan, ultrasound, flouro, and MR (neuro and MSK) the average daily volume is 80-90 studies per day. The radiologist will also perform some light interventional procedures including filter injections Arthograms (Knee,Shoulder), Myelograms, Lumbar Puncture, and Epidurals, anywhere from 1-4 procedures per day. The PACKS is Viztek and the voice recognition is Dragon or they can use a transcriptionist.
Radiology(locum tenens) is a medical specialty that diagnoses and treats internal diseases (such as tumors) with the use of imaging technologies including X-ray radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. The role of the radiologist includes developing images and interpreting the data. Interventional radiologists utilize these imaging techniques to perform medical procedures, typically minimally invasive.
