Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day

A radiology group in the greater Chicagoland area is looking for a board certified diagnostic radiologist to help read studies for a weeks' time, a September 8th start date and a local candidate would be ideal. The group could potentially use some additional help for a week here or there, but would like to use this first week as a trial. This is a team, hospital setting, no mammography, and no procedures. The radiologist will be expected to read 100 - 110 studies per day consisting of 25 cat scan, 25 ultrasound, 20 MR, and the remainder plain film. A fellowship trained radiologist would be preferable, especially in MSK, body, neuro, or MR. The job is 8 hours of work per day, but the radiologist can choose their start time between 6am and 8am. No call and no weekends. The PACS system is McKesson and the voice recognition is Powerscribe 360

Radiology(locum tenens) is a medical specialty that diagnoses and treats internal diseases (such as tumors) with the use of imaging technologies including X-ray radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. The role of the radiologist includes developing images and interpreting the data. Interventional radiologists utilize these imaging techniques to perform medical procedures, typically minimally invasive.
