Chief, Division of Womens Imaging & Spielman Designated Chair in Breast Imaging

The Ohio State University (OSU) is currently seeking candidates for the combined position of Chief, Division of Womens Imaging and the Spielman Designated Chair in Breast Imaging. The OSU Department of Radiology/Imaging Signature Program, in partnership with the Comprehensive Cancer Center - Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute (OSUCCC-James), offers a competitive salary enhanced with an attractive benefits package, including educational opportunities through The OSU.

The responsibilities of this position include Division operations supervision and oversight, patient care, research, and training. Clinical services will be performed primarily in a teaching environment.

The imaging facilities in the Stefanie Spielman Comprehensive Breast Center [Register to View] are designated ACR Breast Imaging Centers of Excellence and are MQSA certified. They provide screening and diagnostic digital mammography and tomosynthesis, breast ultrasound, breast MRI (3T), and a full biopsy service, with stereotactic, ultrasound-guided and MRI-guided procedures. The on-site physician team include breast-dedicated imagers, surgeons, medical oncologists, and radiation oncologists all working toward integrative detection and treatment of breast cancers. In addition, the Center houses imaging facilities (e.g. 128-slice CT, US) supporting other forms of Womens Imaging for female patients being evaluated by plastic & reconstructive surgeons and gynecologic-oncologic surgeons in the same building.

The OSUCCC-James [Register to View] is one of only a small number of Comprehensive Cancer Centers in the United States designated by the National Cancer Institute; and boasts a new 1.1 M square foot, nationally ranked cancer hospital (3rd largest in the US).

By joining our faculty, you have the opportunity to be a leader within a prominent academic Department of Radiology/Imaging Program and nationally renowned cancer program, committed to: growth and uncompromising patient care, education, and research; and our singular vision - to create a cancer-free world, one patient and one discovery at a time.

The Stefanie Spielman Comprehensive Breast Center is the first center of its kind in the Midwest, offering the full continuum of breast cancer care- from prevention and screening through detection, diagnosis, treatment and survivorship - in a single world-class facility also dedicated to advancing breast cancer care through research. The OSUCCC - James breast cancer program includes a multi-disciplinary team of breast cancer experts with specialists in medical, surgical and radiation oncology as well as breast reconstruction, radiology, pharmacy, pathology and more.
