Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day

Outpatient imaging center in North Dakota is looking for a diagnostic radiologist for the week of September 12-16. The hours will be Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm no call and no weekends. The radiologist will read 80-100 studies a day primarily cat scan, ultrasound, MR (MSK and Body), nuclear medicine, and PET. Out of these studies 30 will be MR, there will be no mammography or procedures unless the radiologist is able to do steroid joint injections in the hip and shoulders. The PACS system is Ramsoft and they use a dictaphone and transcriptionist. The worksite location is in North Dakota, but reads also come in from Wyoming and Iowa, so a ND, IA, and WY license are required.

Radiology(locum tenens) is a medical specialty that diagnoses and treats internal diseases (such as tumors) with the use of imaging technologies including X-ray radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. The role of the radiologist includes developing images and interpreting the data. Interventional radiologists utilize these imaging techniques to perform medical procedures, typically minimally invasive.
