Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 05/23/2016Available Shifts: - Not Available -
An outpatient imaging center in Myrtle Beach, SC is looking for locums coverage 5/23- 5/26 Monday to Thursday. There is a potential for additional locum work as other vacation dates arise. This is a solo site and the hours are 8am to 5pm with no call. The average daily volume is 40 studies per day mainly MR and Cat scan and some ultrasounds and plain film as well. There is no mammography and no procedures. The radiologist must be board certified and also have a DEA license and South Carolina controlled license to potentially prescribe Xanax to patients that are claustrophobic. The site uses Amicas PACS and voice recognition.
Radiology(locum tenens) is a medical specialty that diagnoses and treats internal diseases (such as tumors) with the use of imaging technologies including X-ray radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. The role of the radiologist includes developing images and interpreting the data. Interventional radiologists utilize these imaging techniques to perform medical procedures, typically minimally invasive.
