Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 05/16/2016Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day

A community hospital in southern Illinois is in need of locum radiologist coverage 2 weeks per month from April 2016 until June 2017. The group is looking for a board certified general diagnostic radiologist who is also MQSA certified. The coverage weeks are flexible to the locum radiologist's schedule. The hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm with no night call and no weekends. The radiologist will read all modalities and the total daily volume is 110 - 120 studies per day. Interventional procedures are a big plus, but not required. There will always be another radiologist on site. The PACS and voice recognition system are both Carestream. Looking for someone with a pleasant personality.

Radiology(locum tenens) is a medical specialty that diagnoses and treats internal diseases (such as tumors) with the use of imaging technologies including X-ray radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. The role of the radiologist includes developing images and interpreting the data. Interventional radiologists utilize these imaging techniques to perform medical procedures, typically minimally invasive.
