Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day

radiology group in central California is looking for a couple solid, general diagnostic radiologists to help out ongoing one week and a weekend or two a month ongoing. During the week, Monday - Friday the volume is 90-100 cases, with light interventional work (IVC filters, para, thora, drainages, etc). This will be a team environment during the week. MQSA is preferred, but not required. On the weekend the volume is 150 cases Saturday and around 130 cases Sunday. Hours are 8a-5p on weekdays and weekends and nighthawk takes over at 5p. Weekend call consists of being back up for PACS system going down, and handling an occasional consult. The PACS is Merge and the site uses dictation.

Radiology(locum tenens) is a medical specialty that diagnoses and treats internal diseases (such as tumors) with the use of imaging technologies including X-ray radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. The role of the radiologist includes developing images and interpreting the data. Interventional radiologists utilize these imaging techniques to perform medical procedures, typically minimally invasive.
