Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day

Non-profit health care system in north central Pennsylvania is seeking a board certified general diagnostic radiologist to work ongoing for a 3-6 month time period. Coverage is needed starting late November to early December full time Monday to Friday with occasional weekend call. The radiologist must be able to read plain film, mammography, ultrasound, nuclear medicine including PET, MR, and cat scan. The expected work production is 45 RVU's per day. In addition, the radiologist will need to perform light interventional procedures consisting of lumbar, punctures, paracentesis, thoracentesis, arthograms, needle locs, breast biopsies, thyroid biopsies and flouro.

Radiology(locum tenens) is a medical specialty that diagnoses and treats internal diseases (such as tumors) with the use of imaging technologies including X-ray radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. The role of the radiologist includes developing images and interpreting the data. Interventional radiologists utilize these imaging techniques to perform medical procedures, typically minimally invasive.
