Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 01/04/2016Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
Solo radiologist practice in coastal northern California is looking for coverage from 8am to 2pm Monday to Thursday 1/4/16 to 1/7/16. The hours could flex to 1pm to 6pm if this is more to the radiologist's liking. The site needs a radiologist who can read all diagnostic modalities except mammography (it is preferred but not required) and an average of 12 studies per hour who can also perform light interventional procedures including biopsies and drainages. This will be an hourly rate with mileage and lodging reimbursement.
Radiology(locum tenens) is a medical specialty that diagnoses and treats internal diseases (such as tumors) with the use of imaging technologies including X-ray radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. The role of the radiologist includes developing images and interpreting the data. Interventional radiologists utilize these imaging techniques to perform medical procedures, typically minimally invasive.
