Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 11/30/2015Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
The Air Force is looking for a qualified Radiologist for services at Wright Patterson Air Force base, just outside Dayton. The provider will need to be board certified and residency trained. The provider will need to have a current BLS and ACLS thru the American Heart Association. The physician will also need to have a current and unrestricted state license along with an active/ fee paid DEA. The government requires that the physician have 24 months of experience in the last 36 months.
The physician will be working in an out patient setting working Monday thru Friday 730-430. The physician will be required to be on call and that will average 1 week every 3 weeks. This is a long term assignment and a long term provider is highly desired.
Radiology(locum tenens) is a medical specialty that diagnoses and treats internal diseases (such as tumors) with the use of imaging technologies including X-ray radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. The role of the radiologist includes developing images and interpreting the data. Interventional radiologists utilize these imaging techniques to perform medical procedures, typically minimally invasive.
