Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
A hospital is southern Indiana is in need of locums coverage for the dates of Nov 23-27 (excluding Thanksgiving), Dec 21-24 (Monday-Thursday), and Dec 28-31 (Monday - Thursday). The site needs a qualified Breast Imager for locums coverage ( formal Breast Imaging fellowship preferred). Candidates will only be required to perform strictly women's imaging to include diagnostic and screening mammography and the following procedures- needle localizations, US breast biopsies, stereotactic biopsies. Candidates will be working with three other full time radiologists onsite. Shift: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, no call, no weekends. Client is covering all travel and lodging expenses.
Radiology(locum tenens) is a medical specialty that diagnoses and treats internal diseases (such as tumors) with the use of imaging technologies including X-ray radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. The role of the radiologist includes developing images and interpreting the data. Interventional radiologists utilize these imaging techniques to perform medical procedures, typically minimally invasive.
