Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day

A hospital system in Oregon is looking for a radiologist that can work 4 days per week, every other week, in a solo environment. The days are flexible it can be Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. No call and no weekends. The radiologist will work between two sites that are 35 minutes apart, but will primarily be at one site. While on site, the radiologist will perform a couple light interventional procedures including ultrasound guided breast biopsy, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and drainages. The radiologist will be reading an average of 85 studies per day from the two sites combined. The diagnostic studies consist of all modalities including mammography. This is an ongoing position starting the week of 10/12. The sites has a proprietary PACS system and a transcriptionist. The client is willing to pay for lodging costs.

Radiology(locum tenens) is a medical specialty that diagnoses and treats internal diseases (such as tumors) with the use of imaging technologies including X-ray radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. The role of the radiologist includes developing images and interpreting the data. Interventional radiologists utilize these imaging techniques to perform medical procedures, typically minimally invasive.
